Do I need technical skills to use Picklo?

No. If you can fill in a form and send an email, you can use Picklo. Setup takes about 10 minutes.

What kinds of businesses use Picklo?

Picklo is built for made-to-order businesses with local pickup, including bakers, florists, grazing box makers, picnic boxes, corsage makers, cookie decorators, and anyone else who makes something to order and collects payment at pickup.

Do I need an ABN to use Picklo?

No. Picklo doesn't require one, and you can sign up to Stripe as an Individual / Sole Trader without one. For your own tax situation, your accountant is the right person to ask.

Can I try it before I pay?

Yes. Every new account gets a 30-day free trial of the Growth plan. No credit card required. After that you choose the plan that fits.

How do my customers pay?

Through Stripe, the same payment system used by millions of businesses worldwide. Your customers pay by card at checkout. You receive the funds directly to your bank account.

Do you take a percentage of my sales?

No. Picklo charges a flat monthly subscription. Stripe charges their standard processing fee (around 1.7% plus 30c for Australian cards), and that goes to Stripe, not us.

Can I take cash from someone who picks up?

All Picklo orders go through Stripe, so customers pay upfront when they order. If someone wants to pay cash for something separate (a walk-up sale, a friend you didn't want to charge), that's between you and them. You can also add manual orders into your dashboard for anything that comes in outside the system.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Up to 5 orders per month and 3 products, forever free. Great for testing the waters before committing.

What does Picklo cost?

Free forever for up to 5 orders per month. Starter is A$19 per month for up to 30 orders. Growth is A$39 per month for unlimited orders. All plans include a 30-day free trial of Growth, no credit card required.

What happens if I go over my plan's order limit?

You can change plans any time. If you're consistently going over your plan's limit, that's usually a sign you've outgrown it. Upgrade when it makes sense for your business.

What happens if I want to cancel?

Cancel any time. No lock-in, no penalty. Your order form goes offline at the end of your billing period. You can export all your data before you go.

How is Picklo different from Etsy?

Etsy is built for selling stock to strangers and shipping it worldwide. Picklo is built for the other kind of business: your own audience, made to order, local pickup with a date attached. Both have their place. We just do one of them well.

Can I use my own domain?

Not yet, this is coming. For now your order page lives at yourname.usepicklo.com.

Is my data safe?

Yes. All data is encrypted, stored securely, and never sold to third parties. You own your data and can export or delete it at any time.

What if I don't have any customers yet?

Most makers start by sharing their Picklo link with the people who already know what they make: friends, family, a group chat, an Instagram page if you have one. Your first orders almost always come from people who already know you. From there, word of mouth does most of the work.
